Vets With A Mission - Humanitarian Aid to Vietnam
It was the vision of Bill Kimball, a Vietnam Veteran who served with the 1st Cavalry as a Mortarman during the 1968 Tet Offensive. Bill's overwhelming desire was to see Vietnam Veterans return to Vietnam to help in the rebuilding of a country that suffered immense destruction to its infrastructure and its effect on its citizenry. After an exploratory trip to Vietnam in 1988 it was clear that we needed to do more. We began under the guidance of Bill Kimball and a small group of Veterans, to form a not-for-profit society that would begin humanitarian projects in Vietnam. In later years Chuck Ward would take over Bill's position as Executive Director to run the daily operations of VWAM. Chuck and his leadership have continued to establish VWAM as a humanitarian organization respected by the Vietnamese Government and medical professionals from every section of Vietnam.
"OTR Web Solutions is more than a company. They are regular folks just like us who understand what we, the consumer, want and need. Ian Conklin and his staff have always given Vets With A Mission timely service and a quick turnaround on our requests. I always try to give them advance notice on changes to our web page, but even when I've "dropped the ball with a short notice," they try to meet my requirements first by putting forth that extra special effort. There have been opportunities to move our web site management to other companies, but OTR meets and exceeds our needs this time and every time. You ought to give them a chance to meet yours."
Charles Ward, Executive Director, Vets With A Mission, an OTR customer for over a decade.
Frontier Lodge is a Christian wilderness adventure camp situated on the eastern slopes of the Canadian Rockies. The camp was founded in 1959 and was first owned and operated by Youth for Christ. In the late 70's it became independent as "Frontier Camping Society" and is a registered Canadian Charity. It is a member of Christian Camping International (CCI) and an accredited member of the Alberta Camping Association (ACA).
"Words are insufficient in expressing our appreciation for all that OTR has done for Frontier Lodge in the development of our website. We are constantly receiving positive feedback about the new site, and have had an increase in visitors because of it. OTR has given us a website that is user friendly, and exactly represents who we are. Their patience and diligence in the area of Customer Support has also made the experience a delightful one. Thank you OTR for working with us to reach our goal of 'using God's wilderness to reach, teach and train youth and adults for Jesus Christ."
